Far and Near by Amanda G. Stevens

This book was interesting. It is full of action and shows how God can use us even when we think that everything is out of control. This is a great story that will keep you up late into the night.

About This Book:

In Far and Near, Marcus, Lee, Austin, and Violet are starting over. Texas is supposed to be their sanctuary. But the Constabulary isn’t ready to relinquish their worst offenders, legal jurisdiction or not. They’ve sent agents in undercover, and Marcus is the assigned target of one who has personal reasons to bring him back dead or alive.

Marcus and Lee are ready to be whole again, to secure a home here–together. But wholeness and home might not mean what they thought. Stopping the Constabulary hunters will require more than Marcus knows how to give, and God is about to use him again in a way he doesn’t expect.

Enemies, emotions, the past, the future–everything must be faced in the quest for a true haven.

The Restoration by Wanda Brunstetter

I just love her books. I have long loved her books and continue to read voraciously anything that comes out with her as the author. This one was no different. Her specialty is Amish fiction and this story is one of an Amish love triangle. Finding your true love is something that needs to be done carefully and this is a story of a young Amish woman who is trying to find her own way. Great book and great read.

About This Book:

Dive into an Amish country love triangle in this third book of the Prairie State Friends series, The Restoration. Priscilla Herschberger finds herself pursued by Elam, a childhood friend from her community, and David, an outsider raised in the modern world. Elam would do almost anything to convince Priscilla that David would never fit into the Amish way. Will flames of jealousy rage out of control and ruin lives? Can forgiveness allow love and trust to grow?

Joshua’s Mission

Living a life dedicated to Jesus leaves you open to exciting and miraculous things. This story is one that tells of these miracles that can occur. Joshua is an Amish man who finds that living for God can not only lead to the miraculous, but also lead to love and forgiveness. Amish fiction has quickly became a genre in itself and this stand-alone book is sure to offer you a read that will encourage you in your own life, Amish or not.

About This Book

Joshua’s Mission is a new standalone novel in the Plain and Simple Miracles collection from popular author Vannetta Chapman. These stories of love and family and Amish community in Oklahoma tell of the miracles that can happen when lives are lived in service to God and to one another.

Joshua Kline travels from his farm in Oklahoma to offer aid to an Englisch town on the gulf coast of Texas after a category 4 hurricane has ravaged the area. He brings his brother with him, who needs a change of environment. The last thing he wants for Alton is another brush with the law. He is pleasantly surprised when he hears that Becca Troyer, the bishop’s granddaughter, plans on joining their team.

What will Joshua find when he arrives in Texas? A lack of electricity, certainly, which poses little problem for the Amish volunteers as they help restore order from destruction. But a budding romance? A call from God? And a possible healing of his relationship with Alton?

Joshua’s Mission is a story of love, forgiveness, and the grace of God that carries us through even the worst situations.

Thin Ice by Irene Hannon

Being able to rise again after bad things happening is something that not everyone can manage. However, it is something that shows the values and focus of the person. This book, Thin Ice, tells the story of Christy Reed, who has lost both her parents and her sister within less than a year. Learning that this is to cause her harm, she finds a way to come back stronger and wiser, as well as closer to God. She falls in love, too. This is a great choice for mystery lovers that has the perfect touch of romance and meaning.

About This Book

After losing her parents in a car accident and her sister to a house fire, Christy Reed has been mired in grief. Life is finally starting to feel normal again when an envelope arrives in the mail–addressed in her sister’s handwriting. And the note inside claims she is still alive.

FBI Special Agent Lance McGregor, a former Delta Force operator, is assigned to reopen the case, but he’s coming up with more questions than answers. If Ginny Reed is still alive–who is the woman buried in her grave? Where is Ginny? And is Christy a pawn in a twisted cat-and-mouse game–or the target of a sinister plot? As he digs deeper, one thing becomes clear: whoever is behind the bizarre ruse has a deadly agenda.

Bestselling author and two-time Christy Award finalist Irene Hannon warms readers’ hearts as they root for a romance between Lance and Christy, but she pulls out all the stops as this high-stakes thriller chills to the bone in a race to the finish.
